Veteran’s Memorial Hall
Veteran’s Memorial Hall has a layered history. It was built in 1931 on the foundation of the Springville Opera House, which was tragically destroyed by fire in 1927. This original building housed theater performances, local dances, motion picture shows and eventually LDS socials and services. Memorial Hall was later constructed in honor of World War I soldiers, with the purpose of serving veterans and other community groups. Designed by architect Claude S. Ashworth in the Art-Deco Style, it is recognized by its unique geometric façade and clean symmetrical style. Memorial Hall is now home to our vibrant Senior Center, which also hosts community events such as Springville Public Art’s Lunch & Listen program.
