Carnegie Building
The Carnegie Building was originally one of Utah’s 23 Carnegie Libraries. It was built in 1922 as part of the Carnegie Foundation’s effort to fund over 2500 libraries worldwide, and proudly functioned as Springville’s Public Library from 1922 to 1965. It now houses the Springville-Mapleton Pioneer Museum, which preserves historic artifacts and shares personal stories of the area’s early settlers. The building’s Prairie School Style architecture features tall vertical windows, textured brick and decorative ceramic mosaics.
