Springville Museum of Art

The Springville Museum of Art is perhaps our city’s most impressive architectural landmark. Designed by local architect Claude S. Ashworth as a “sanctuary of beauty and a temple of contemplation,” its Spanish Colonial-style design is distinguished by white stucco walls, red tile roof, curved archways and ornamental courtyards. A true reflection of our community’s dedication to the arts, it was built in 1937 through a collaboration between the Works Progress Administration, the Nebo School District, the City of Springville, and the LDS Church. Today, the Museum stewards an impressive permanent collection of over 2,700 works, presenting over fifteen exhibitions annually across its 29 galleries and sculpture gardens.
